Deals of the Week!

If you're anything like me and are obsessed with a bargain you’re in the right place. But I know that searching out the best deals can take a lot of time, something we don’t always have. The good news is that I will hunt out the bargains that will save you money every single week so you don’t have to!

I only recommend products and businesses I use or would use myself and all opinions expressed here are our own. Some links in this blog are affiliate links or sponsored by the companies I use and recommend. This means I may earn a small commission but at no extra cost to you.

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to have a much-needed date night.

Money saving tip: YOU DON’T NEED TO GO OUT ON THE 14TH FOR IT TO BE ROMANTIC!

Lots of places will have expensive menus on for Valentine’s Day but you don’t have to do a particular date to make it romantic.

Here’s a deal stack will save you £70 on a meal out:

  • Red Letter Days has got this deal at Marco Pierre White for an experience for two.

  • It includes three-course meals with cocktails, wine or fizz, or sparkling afternoon teas with amazing views! It should be £99 but it’s currently in the sale for £49.

  • Use code PLUS20 to get an extra 20% off

  • Then pay using a gift card through Everup to get 19.8% cash back.

  • Making the experience £32.08 for two!

Note: you can’t use this deal during 11th-14th February but I think it would be a lovely gift to give for Valentine’s Day.

If you’re looking for a break for the Easter half term then I’ve found a cute little stay!

You can stay in a stargazing pod at Alton Towers during the Easter break for £77pp.

This prices includes theme park tickets for the whole family, overnight accommodation in these Stargazing Pods on site, breakfast and free parking!

Such good value for money.

My top tips for getting cash back

This week we’re going to look at how to get cashback with Cheddar.

This app is very similar to Jam Doughnut and Ever Up but there is benefit in having all of them to make sure you’re not only getting the best rate but also the most variety in retailers.

Cheddar has got over 150 brands to choose from, including all the top supermarkets with up to 4.5% cashback.

They’ve got a really good introductory offer for this app where you get £5 for free when you buy a gift card

So effectively, you buy a £10 gift card, you get £5 back in your pocket, which is well worth taking advantage of.

(Terms - you will get the free £5 if they join using my link and make a giftcard purchase within 14 days. Minimum gift card purchases applies, usually £10 minimum spend)

Pros

  • I love the user journey of this app, really easy to use.

  • Instant cashback straight into your account giving you instant savings

  • Also offer automatic cashback for some retailers

Cons

  • I have found the rates to be a little lower on here than other competitors recently

  • If you may be returning the item, buying with a giftcard will mean that the refund is processed onto the giftcard. Something to consider before purchasing.

If you’re looking for some holiday inspiration I shared these two deals this week over on Instagram which people have been loving!

I had loads of messages about this hotel in Majorca from families with small children who said it was excellent and super family-friendly.

HolidayPirates has found you some great deals here where 11 nights is actually cheaper than 7!

They’ve also found this family-friendly hotel in Antalya in Turkey which have got over 16 slides.

Is anybody else spending money on the house this month?

We are, so I thought I’d start giving you a little bit more insight into the things we’ve done around the house on a budget (of course!)

Starting with panelling - but without panelling!

We panelled our hallway with this wallpaper from ilovewallpaper.com which gives the effect of panelling without the price tag.

So many people told me that wallpapering was going to be too difficult to do on my own but honestly it was one of the easier DIY’s I’ve done. I’ve got a little guide for you here which I hope will help.

ALSO! If you’re looking to purchase some new bits for the house, you can get 20% in Argos with code FURN20

I’ve not been spending much but I have ordered this kids knives set off Amazon.

They really want to start helping with preparing food at the minute so I got them this set which includes a variety of chopping knives and a peeler. Highly recommend!

February Half Term is looking like the perfect time for a staycation!

Hoseasons has got loads of offers available for Friday 14th February for a long weekend, all under £100 for a family of 4.

Breaks include Cornwall and Isle of White.

Did you know that Dunelm now has an outlet store on their website for returned stock that comes back into store?

They give you 10% off the price of the product and all products have been checked over for damage.

Check it out - you might be able to pick up a bargain!

If like me you’re planning a big project in your home this year then make sure you’re maxing out the cashback youre getting.

For example, you’re currently able to get 8% cashback at B&Q on their kitchen and bathroom ranges, which doesnt sound like much but…

If you spend £5,000 on a new kitchen, you’d be getting a huge £400 back in your pocket just by clicking through Top Cashback! Wild.

I know, it can feel like Christmas is done and Easter arrives on the shelves. I even got a Creme Egg the other day! But if you’re looking to get ahead, there are some great Easter bonnet-making crafts here, prices starting as low as £1.

If your little one has recently started school you may be looking for extra resources to use at home to support their learning.

I got these phonics books from Amazon and my children have really taken to them. They tell you which sounds they’re going to cover and they’re currently 20% off!

Staying in is the new going out! Well, for us, it is! We had a few friends round recently and hosted an escape room at home. These packs are fab!

They have everything you need to solve the puzzle and took us ages to figure out. Would highly recommend and they’re currently discounted too!

If you missed my email with the codes then here they are again:

Code 1: WAVE

Code 2: BIRD

Code 3: TREE

Code 4: FISH

Code 5: X7H2

I have an entire blog on what to do next as well as a write up on the places we’ve been so go check that out for more information.

Office has got an end of season sale on and they’ve got some pretty hefty discounts with up to 50% off Uggs, Adidas and New Balance!

They’ve got a whole range of stock in the sale, including these gorgeous Adidas trainers and I am here for the colour - perfect for Spring!

There’s some great reductions in kids’ winter clothing with hoodies from £4, waterproof trainers from £15 and coats from £9. How gorgeous are these!
