Renovating a room on a budget can be a minefield of decisions, and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that choosing the wrong sofa can completely throw off your space. Our lounge felt really disjointed, the previous sofa didn’t suit the room’s proportions and it made everything feel so disconnected.
That all changed when we discovered that DFS has an online visualiser tool that lets you upload a photo of your room and preview a sofa in your actual space. You can experiment with different colours and configurations to see exactly how the furniture will look before you commit to buying it. For families like ours who like to stretch every pound, this tool is a lifesaver. It means no costly mistakes, no wasted delivery fees, and no disappointment when something doesn’t quite fit.
Using the visualiser took all the guesswork out of our choice. We could see straight away that the Lovise corner sofa would anchor our lounge beautifully. So honestly, if you’re considering a new sofa, I can’t recommend trying the visualiser enough. It’s a simple, free step that can help you avoid a big renovation mistake.
As soon as we swapped out our old piece, the entire room came together. The Lovise’s shape and size worked perfectly with our layout, and its colour tied in with the rest of our decor in a way that felt intentional and polished. Even better? It’s unbelievably comfortable - like getting a warm hug every time you sit down.
Have you used the tool or had a similar experience to me when furniture shopping? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
