Is Cupshe worth it or not? My honest swimwear review…
I’m on the hunt for new swimming costumes and my criteria was simple but non-negotiable – it has to be high waisted, no thong bottom, and absolutely no risk of a nip slip. I had never heard of Cupshe before, but so many of you messaged me saying you have to try it. I ordered a few piece so here’s my honest opinion on whether I actually think it’s worth it.
Honestly… I don’t know who I thought I was when I ordered this one. It’s high-waisted and has these tie-up chiffon pieces that can either act as more coverage above or a little sarong below, which I thought was such a clever idea. However, the coverage of this bra didn’t give me too much confidence. Maybe if I was 10 years younger hey!
This one definitely gave ‘mum in her 30s energy’ - in the best way. It had a really cute back, the bum coverage was great (because nobody wants to be walking around the pool trying to discreetly pull out a wedgie), and it just felt secure.
This one was definitely one of my favourites. It’s still great coverage, but having it as a two-piece makes it so much easier when you need the toilet - and that’s a big win in my book. Great bum coverage and I loved the fit of it. It just felt easy and comfy.
This one did come up quite small. I didn’t feel like there was too much structure on the top half with the pads, which made me feel a bit unsupported. I loved the design, but fit-wise it was a no from me.
Now this one I LOVED. The mesh detailing was really flattering and it’s so full coverage on the tummy it made me feel great. It had okay bum coverage, but I was slightly at risk of a wedgie in this one!
This one I wasn’t too sure about at first because the two sides were different colours, which isn’t normally my thing, but it actually had a really supportive bra in it which I appreciated.
This one had me questioning how mum-friendly a halterneck actually is, if I’m honest. I just kept imagining one of the kids yanking it down mid-pool chaos! The bottoms also felt slightly cheaper in material compared to the others.
Something to note
I had heard this company are a nightmare to send back to. When I went on to return a few, two of the items from my entire order flagged as not eligible for a refund and I was given three options:
Return them and receive 130% of the money, but credited to my Cupshe account.
Keep the clothes and receive 70% of the money refunded.
Send them back with a shipping label and receive 100% of the eligible products refunded.
Now I’m not sure what you guys would do, but I’ve opted for the 70% refund for now, kept them all, and I’ve popped them on my Vinted for half the price to see if I can make a bit of extra money back
I did think this was really bizarre though, has this ever happened to anyone else?
My overall pros
I think they are a great price and a really strong affordable option for swimwear.
Some of the designs are genuinely lovely and not boring.
They are available on Amazon too, so it might be worth checking there to see if you can get free delivery with Prime, and that could make the returns process slightly easier as well.
The cons
With my body shape, sets aren’t ideal as I’m smaller on the top than the bottom. It would be so much better if you could select two different sizes.
Sizing can come up a little small too depending on the style.
