Your guide to booking a £9.50 Sun Holiday

If you’ve ever been on a Sun £9.50 Holiday, then you know just how much fun they are! If you haven’t, but you don't know where to start, then you're in the right place.

I have been doing these budget-friendly holidays since I was a child and have been doing them with my own family for the last few years. They're a great way to get a bargain break away and you can use them in both the UK and Europe. So I’m going to talk you through everything you need to know about The Sun £9.50 Holiday.

The codes

The latest codes are:

BIRD

S7E9

In previous seasons, you needed to collect 10 codes but now you just needed to collect two codewords (and I do this for you!)

How to book a Sun Holiday

So now you've got the codes, what do you do next?

Firstly you'll need to visit the Sun Holidays website. You will need to enter the codes in order to get to the booking page.

NOTE: These codes will not work when booking through the Sun Savers app.

You can choose from a range of locations, across the UK and in Europe. It will allow you to book either a Monday to Friday or a Friday to Monday. In the search page you will need to select the locations that you would like to visit, as well as four dates which you are available.

The £9.50 Sun Holidays sell out very quickly so make sure you book these as soon as you can so you can secure your budget break!

Are they really only £9.50?

Yes and no. Whilst The Sun holidays are undeniably good value, be aware that they are never just £9.50 and there’s a few reasons why.

  • The basic price is from £9.50, but you need to add on various extras and you need to book for at least four people (even if less of you are going) and some parks’ basic rate is more than £9.50.

  • Bed linen can cost extra. You either need to take your own if you can, otherwise you’ll need to pay for a linen bundle

  • Only accommodation is included - no meals or travel

Where can you stay?

There are so many parks available for you to choose from for the £9.50 Sun Holidays, across the UK and Europe. Don't forget to check out the parks in Italy and France and see if you could bag yourself a cheap budget holiday! There are a full list of parks available under the £9.50 Sun Holidays linked here.

We went to Golden Coast Leisure Park in Woolacombe as well as Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park in Rhyl in 2023 on a Sun Holiday and had a really lovely time at both parks. Both have a great location near the beach, with beautiful facilities and lots for families to do, making them a great budget friendly break!

This year (May 2024) we also tried a £9.50 holiday in France! We stayed in the South of France in a beautiful Eurocamp called La Baume. The process was super easy through The Sun and the level of accommodation for £38 for a family of four was great!  You can watch my video about it here.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried a Sun Holiday! And if not, do you think you’ll try them out?
