Small businesses to buy from this Christmas

I think it’s really important around this time of year to support smaller businesses rather than big chains. So, I asked you guys on Instagram to recommend some small businesses to order from and you suggested so many! I’ve picked a few that I think are the most affordable but still bring the best quality. Here’s what I thought and what I bought…

  1. Munchkin Mail - this is a small business that delivers magical little packs to give to the kids for Christmas. I think with so many things being online now it’s so magical for the kids to receive a magic key through the post or to experience the fun of writing a letter to Santa and posting it.

I ordered a writing set for £11.95 and it includes 2 letter sheets, 2 envelopes, 4 postcards, 4 wish cards, and 6 postage stamps! So if you’re ordering this I’d split it between 2 kids as it’s more than enough!

I also got a magical Santa key for £3.95 which considering you will use this every year I thought was quite a good price! This brand also do packs for Easter too!

2. Porky - his small business sells lots of different collections for every different occasion! From Halloween to new baby to school leavers it’s got some great ideas!

I ordered an everyday elf idea pack created for your Elf on the Shelf for £10. It includes 24 scene idea and information cards, 24 prop cards, 1 shopping list (although they say you will already have 70% of the stuff at home already!), and one main information card! I think this is such a great idea and just takes the stress out of thinking of a new elf idea for everyday of December! It works out to 40p a day for the ideas and props - such a bargain! They also do elf enhancement packs as well which can be personalised to you!

3. Jaques of London - this family-run business is known for crafting wooden toys and classic games! They also have great educational toys too which you know I love!

I ordered a fractions shape puzzle learning toy, a kids spelling game, and a travel art set all for around £30 with a code GIFT25 that got me 25% off!

4. Eating with the Kids -  This is a lovely small business ran by a mum with a goal to help families eat healthy meals together! She sells lots of recipe packs, kitchenware, waterbottles, lunchboxes and kids soft warmies!

I picked up an adorable mini penguin warmie for £13, and a kids lunchbox (£18) and waterbottle (£20). Now I do think this is a more expensive shop however the quality is great so we shall see if they last!

5. Fred & Pearl - they are a little online gift shop that have unique and personalised presents and home bits! I ordered a little personalised bracelet making kit that has enough in it to make about 6 bracelets for just £10! A great little gift my daughter would LOVE.
