If you're anything like me and are obsessed with a freebie, I got you! Each week, I search out a bunch of amazing things that won’t cost you a penny.

I only recommend products and businesses I use or would use myself and all opinions expressed here are our own. Some links in this blog are affiliate links or sponsored by the companies I use and recommend. This means I may earn a small commission but at no extra cost to you.

Here’s a few essentials I swear by in January: my monthly budget spreadsheet and my bills tracker. And something which my son is really getting into this year, the kids savings tracker!

Dobbies Garden Centres offer free ‘Little Seedlings’ kids workshops on the first Sunday of the month for kids aged 4-10. January’s focus is on how to recycle Christmas trees!

Who doesn’t love a birthday freebie? From free main meals, to sweet treats, to vouchers, there are so many brilliant perks you can claim just for celebrating bieing another year older! Some of these birthday goodies last for up to a whole month, so you can spread them out and treat yourself throughout your birthday season. I’ve rounded up all the UK birthday freebies you can bag in 2025.

You know me, I can never resist a good freebie, especially when it means more memories with the kids. I've stumbled on a brilliant little hack through MoneySuperMarket travel insurance that I had to share!

When we booked a MoneySuperMarket family travel insurance policy for our trip to Italy, it automatically gave us access to their Super Save Club. As part of the Club, you get a free 'hot pick' every month. These aren't just little discounts either - they are proper days out!

If you’re over 40 you can go along to a Boots store and have a health check completely free of charge. This will include:

Did you know that kids with a Blue Peter badge can get access to loads of free attractions?

Kids between 5 and 15 can apply online and then use their badge to gain free entry into places including the Eden Project, Dudley Zoo and Cheddar Gorge.

Ella’s Kitchen has got a whole range of useful resources available for weaning little ones on their website.
