Is it really a date night if it’s at home?
Who says date night has to mean expensive dinners out? Sometimes when the kids are in bed and you can’t get a sitter it just makes more sense to stay in… but you can absolutely still call it a date night! Here are 6 ideas for a date night at home that won’t break the bank!
A murder mystery night - who doesn’t secretly want to play detective? Amazon is full of these murder mystery kits that me and Matt absolutely love and you don’t need a big group either, most are perfect for two people. You could even dress up and pour cheeky glass of wine and suddenly you’re at your very own dinner party solving crimes but you’ve saved the cost of a babysitter.
A cook off challenge - choose a random ingredient (yep, even anything at the back of the cupboard) and you both have to come up with a dish. The winner could avoid washing up for a week! You can travel to another country without even leaving your kitchen!
Have a games night - me and Matt absolutely loved playing this with both family, and on our own. I definitely recommend if you want a date night full of laughter.
Movie night - grab a Morrisons dine in for 2 meal which includes a main, 2 sides, and 1 dessert for only £10! Stick on a good film and voila!
DIY wine or beer tasting - either grab a few cheap mini bottles that you wouldn’t usually try from the supermarket or try out these make your own wine kits if you want to make it a bit posher! Pair with some budget cheese and crackers and you’re sorted!
A classic paint and sip - these are going viral at the moment and it seems quite a fun idea. My friend recommended this set to me so let me know if you think I should try it! Add a glass of wine and you’ve got yourself a mini art studio!
