Alton Towers & CBeebies Land: what to expect

Visiting CBeebies Land at Alton Towers is an exciting adventure, especially if you have younger children under 7. If you’ve not been before, I’ve summarised what you can expect - there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained!

You can also read my blog on ways to save money if you’re planning a visit to Alton Towers and CBeebies Land.

CBeebies Land is situated inside the Alton Towers Theme Park. I would say the rides and experiences are designed primarily for children under 7, but older siblings and parents could also join in the fun.

There’s loads of themed rides, including:

  • Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure – A gentle rollercoaster ride for little ones

  • Postman Pat Parcel Post – Help Postman Pat deliver the mixed up post!

  • In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride – A relaxing boat ride with the famous characters

  • Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop – A bouncy drop ride that kids will love.

You’ll be able to accompany your children on all rides which is great. It’s worth noting that some rides have height restrictions so check these in in advance so you’re not disappointed on the day!

If you'r child isn’t into rides, there’s some great play zones, including Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge and JoJo & Gran Gran’s House.

Staying overnight at Alton Towers can make the experience much more magical and there are several accommodation options available to suit different budgets.

  • Alton Towers Hotel – The most affordable on-site hotel. It’s a little dated but it’s comfortable and clean, which is the main thing

  • Splash Landings Hotel – This hotel offers access to the waterpark, which was a great bonus during our stay. We had a 2.5 hour slot included in our package and the waterpark had a lazy river, rapids, splash areas and outdoor pools

  • CBeebies Hotel – This is tailored for families with young children - the themed rooms are lovely!

  • Stargazing Pods – These are great for a budget-friendly stay at Alton Towers. These are like small wooden pods and whilst space is limited, they’re a fun adventure for families.

The hotel gets busy, so it’s important to book restaurants ahead of time. We learned the hard way and had to wait until 8.45 pm for dinner availability.

The Splash Landings Hotel Bar serves pizza but has limited seating and can be busy, so if this isn’t your vibe, think about eating elsewhere .

You could visit a nearby pubs or order a takeaway via Uber Eats for better options and cheaper alternatives.

I hope these tips have helped you to plan a future trip to CBeebies Land and you feel better informed about what to expect!

As you can see, Alton Towers offers a variety of accommodation options catering to different budgets.

We love visiting CBeebies Land and if you’ve got kids under seven, they’ll love it!
