How to Save Money at Alton Towers & CBeebies Land

A trip to Alton Towers with young kids, especially to CBeebies Land, can be so much fun - and it doesn’t have to break the bank! By planning ahead and taking advantage of off-peak discounts, package deals, and ticket offers, you can enjoy an affordable visit. Our recent visit during the February half-term proved to me that you can experience all the fun without spending a fortune.

You can also see a summary over on Instagram and in this blog.

One of the best ways to save money at Alton Towers is by visiting during the off-season - hence why we visited during February Half Term. They were offering £10 tickets during half term so was a great time to visit CBeebies Land affordably!

The main rides are closed in winter but Alton Towers runs special discounted events, like the Pirate Takeover, making it an ideal time for younger families to visit.

Checking for these seasonal deals in advance can lead to big savings! You can book your trip here.

Package deals during the off-season are really affordable For our visit, we secured a fantastic deal for just £195, which included:

  • Accommodation for four people at Alton Towers Hotel

  • CBeebies Land tickets

  • Waterpark tickets

  • Breakfast and parking

If you can, book early and keep an eye out for promotions so you get the best deal!

There are a few ways to get discounted tickets throughout the year:

  • Blue Light Card members: On certain dates Blue Light Card holders can get tickets at discounted rates. For example, tickets are available for £26 per person for selected March dates.

  • Sun Savers Day: The Sun newspaper runs promotions throughout the year offering free Alton Towers tickets. Signing up for their emails ensures you don’t miss out!

  • 2-for-1 deals: Many cereal brands offer 2-for-1 entry vouchers, a great way to cut costs!

  • Clubcard points: Tesco Clubcard points can be converted into discounted Alton Towers tickets. As a Merlin partner, Clubcard points often double in value, making this a great way to pay less for your tickets!

TOP TIP! If you plan to visit Merlin attractions multiple times throughout the year (such as Alton Towers, Legoland, and Chessington), a Merlin Pass may be a good investment. It offers unlimited access on select days throughout the year.

I hope these tips have helped you to plan a future trip to CBeebies Land and save yourself some money!

By planning a visit during off-peak times, taking advantage of accommodation package deals, and using discounts and ticket offers, you can experience all the fun of CBeebies Land without overspending.
