Where kids can eat free or cheap during the summer holidays 2026

School holidays can be expensive, especially when every activity seems to involve food, too. But there are loads of places across the UK where kids can eat free, or for nearly free, during the summer holidays!

I’ve rounded up the best cafés, supermarkets, restaurants, and pubs where your kids can tuck in without costing you a fortune. You could even have a picnic to keep costs down!

If you’re looking for free and cheap budget-friendly activities during the summer holidays check out this blog.

  • Asda Cafe - kids eat for £1 every day with no minimum spend. Plus, they do £1 cold pix and mix deals which are perfect if you’re out and about or having a picnic!

  • Morrisons Cafe - kids eat free all day every day with a £5 adult spend! They have also recently announced their Breakfast Club where families can enjoy a free Kellogg’s breakfast which includes a bowl of cereal and a portion of fruit throughout school holidays for both adults and kids!

  • IKEA - kids get a meal from 85p daily after 11am.

  • Beefeater & Brewers Fayre- 2 kids eat free breakfast daily with one adult.

  • Sizzling Pubs- kids eat for £1 from midday Monday-Friday. You can even feed the whole family for £17!

  • Dobbie’s Garden Centres - children can enjoy a breakfast for just 88p with any adult Traditional or Full Breakfast. Alternatively, they can get a child's hot meal or Pick 'n' Mix Lunch Box for just 88p with any adult main course.

This offer is available from 25 June to 1 September 2026 in our restaurants and includes a free child's drink.

If you’ve not got any kids eat free offers in your area, you could try a DIY pizza night. Grab a low cost base from the freezer aisle and let the kids choose toppings! Another cheap alternative is to grab whatever’s in your fridge and take the kids for a picnic!

School holidays don’t have to blow your budget - with a bit of planning you can enjoy plenty of meals out without stressing about cost.
