Egg-cellent deals on Easter eggs

Easter is fast approaching (Sunday 20th April), and supermarkets are already rolling out huge discounts on Easter eggs! But with so many deals, it can be overwhelming to know if you’re actually getting the best price. Here's where to find the best bargains and avoid decision fatigue while shopping.

Too many Easter deals? Decision fatigue is real!

You’re gonna see supermarkets pushing mix and match offers, loyalty card discounts, and price drops, so it’s easy to second-guess every choice. Here’s my top tips!

  • Set a budget – Decide how much you’re happy to spend. Kids will just be happy they have chocolate so don’t be tempted to overspend!

  • Stick to your favourites – The old faithfuls are sometimes the best value! Don’t buy just because it’s on sale

  • Compare prices beforehand – Use this guide to go in with a plan!

Now, let’s break down the best Easter egg deals so you can shop without stress!

Top 3 Easter egg deals this week

I’ve been hunting deals and here’s what I found in the shops right now:

  • Best Budget Buy: Morrisons – 5 for £5 on 96g Cadbury Easter Eggs (£1 each!)

  • Best Large Egg Deal: Sainsbury’s – Cadbury Creme XL Easter Egg (235g) for £4.50 (was £6)

  • Best Luxury Pick: Tesco – Lindt Salted Caramel Egg (348g) for £15 (25% off)

Shopping tips to save even more

There are lots of ways to get even better deals on Easter eggs just by taking your time before you buy. Here’s my top tips!

  • Use loyalty cards – Nectar, Tesco Clubcard, Morrisons More, and Lidl Plus unlock exclusive discounts

  • Bulk buy for best value – Asda’s 4 for £11.96 or Morrisons' 5 for £5 are cheapest per egg

  • Compare before you buy – Prices vary by supermarket, so check your local store before purchasing

  • Watch for Shrinkflation! Beware! Some eggs might be smaller this year but cost the same (e.g., Cadbury Creme Egg multipacks).

In summary

As yu can see there are big savings on chocolate Easter eggs, from £1 deals at Morrisons to luxury discounts at Tesco. If you’re planning on stocking up, consider bulk-buying or using loyalty cards to get the most for your money.
