Is an Amazon wedding gift list really worth it?

Weddings are wonderful but they can also be expensive for both the guests and the couple! One of the trickiest parts is definitely the gifting. Do you ask for money? Do you risk ending up with 5 toasters or do you skip out on gifts but miss out on the chance for people to help you start your new life together? It can feel really awkward knowing what to suggest without sounding cheeky… which is where the Amazon wedding gift list comes in!

  • It’s totally free to use (unlike some wedding list services that charge you fees or take a cut). All you have to do is set it up through this link, add the items that you would like, and share it with your guests!

  • It cuts out the awkward gift chat! Guests can simply pick from your list and you can get things you’d actually use!

  • There’s such a huge range of products so whether your after a new dinner set, honeymoon luggage, kitchen gadgets or garden furniture you can add it to the list (it’s not limited to wedding stuff!)

  • Group gifting options - if you’re worried about adding particularly expensive items, Amazon allows group gifting so several guests can chip in towards a bigger present like a coffee machine! And it cuts the guilt you feel too!

  • After your wedding, Amazon often gives you a completion discount (around 20%) on remaining items from your list which is perfect for ticking off any bits that didn’t get snapped up by guests, at a lower price!

  • It’s great for guests near or far as some people will want to buy you a gift even if they cant make it to your wedding in-person!

  • It’s really handy to keep a record of who bought what so you can avoid having to remember who bought want and makes thanking people a lot easier!

So in my opinion this list is absolutely worth it, it saves money, keeps things stress-free and gives guests peace of mind as they know they are buying something you actually want. Plus it’s completely free!
