School’s almost out for the May Half Term and if your kids are anything like mine, they’re ALWAYS hungry! But there’s only so far your budget can stretch and the holidays can get expensive fast, especially when you’re trying to keep the kids entertained and fed on the go.
Luckily, loads of restaurants and cafés across the UK are offering kids eat free or have low-cost meal deals this May Half Term – and I’ve rounded up the best of them for you. Whether you're heading out for a day trip or just fancy a cheeky lunch out, these spots make lunchtime a bit more affordable.

Morrisons Café - One free kids meal with every adult meal costing £4.49+. Available all day, every day – not just half term! Hot and cold options plus fruit bags.
Sainsbury’s Café - One free kids hot meal deal with any adult main. After 11:30am daily (check local store for participation). Includes drink and snack too!
ASDA Café - Kids eat for just £1 – no adult spend required. Available every day (subject to availability). Great for younger kids or quick bites
Dobbies Garden Centre - Free kids meal with every adult main. Available daily from 12pm. Bonus: includes drink and dessert!
